100 Years Maserati at Maastricht Interclassics
The year’s first Classic Car event Interclassics & TopMobiel in Maastricht has grown to a renowned international fair, with very high quality cars, a great variety of international exhibitors and good sales. 2014 is the year of Maserati, celebrating its 100 years anniversary. Almost a full hall was dedicated to the rich Maserati sports car history and a great selection of rare Maseratis was on display. Among others, probably Europe’s first racing car with sponsorship livery, Stirling Moss’ 420/M/58 ‘Eldorado’, then a sharp Tipo 61 Birdcage from the Panini Collection, an elegant A6G/54 with Allemano body (by the way the only rally car ever produced by Maserati, previously part of the Rosso Bianco Collection), and a very rare 1953 A6GCS Berlinetta PF.
Rarities for sale were amongst many others a one of twelve 1969 Bizzarini GT Europa 1900, a barn find one off Boano Disco Volante 1955 Alfa Romeo 1900 CSS and a few specialties offered at the Coys auction.
